EEIC Executive Director Participates in Techne Summit

Dr. Heba Zaki, Director of the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, participated in a panel discussion titled "Women in EdTech: How Women Can Control the Narrative Through Technology" as part of the opening events of the Techne Summit.

During her speech, Dr. Zaki highlighted the story of Princess Fatma Ismail and her pivotal role in establishing Egypt’s first national university, emphasizing the significance of this milestone in advancing education and society. She also addressed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on educational technology, explaining how it triggered a major shift in classroom management and remote learning, creating a more adaptive and transformative educational experience.

She concluded by underscoring the role of the government and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in supporting educational technology. She also stressed the importance of adopting policies that empower women in entrepreneurship and enhance their contributions to the development of the education sector through innovation and technology.
