Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Launches "EEIC on Wheels" with Ismailia as the First Stop

The Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development launched its new program, "EEIC on Wheels," with its first stop at Suez Canal University in Ismailia. As part of this initiative, the center organized an idea-generation boot camp in collaboration with the university’s Entrepreneurship Club.

At the beginning of the event, Dr. Mohamed Saad Zaghloul, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, welcomed Dr. Heba Zaki, Director of the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Dr. Maha Khalil, Deputy Director of the Center. During the meeting, they discussed potential areas of collaboration between the center and the university and their shared role in supporting entrepreneurship.

During the event, Dr. Heba Zaki highlighted the different programs and services offered by the center to foster a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in nurturing innovation among university students and praised the efforts of the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation in supporting emerging entrepreneurs and providing the necessary environment to turn their ideas into reality.

Dr. Afnan Barakat, Director of the University’s Entrepreneurship Club, stressed the importance of selecting viable ideas for implementation, noting that the boot camp aimed to teach participants critical thinking skills and how to develop feasible business ideas.

The three-day boot camp, held from July 21-23, 2024, featured a series of interactive workshops led by Eng. Tamer Ahmed, CEO of Ventitude. The sessions aimed to equip young participants with entrepreneurial skills and raise awareness about the culture of entrepreneurship.
