Launching the Blue Economy Pre-Incubation Program to Support Entrepreneurs in the Sector

As part of its ongoing efforts to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem and foster innovation across various sectors, the Egypt Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (EEIC) has launched a specialized Blue Economy Pre-Incubation Program. This initiative aims to empower entrepreneurs by developing innovative and sustainable ideas in key blue economy fields, such as aquaculture, marine technology, and ocean-based renewable energy.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Heba Zaki, Director of EEIC, and Dr. Tarek Temraz, Professor of Aquatic Biology at Suez Canal University. Both highlighted the importance of supporting startups in this vital sector, which serves as a cornerstone for sustainable economic development. The program includes a series of training workshops and mentorship sessions designed to help participants transform their ideas into viable projects. Through business model development, market analysis, and essential skill-building, entrepreneurs will gain the tools needed for growth and sustainability. This initiative reflects EEIC’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering innovation, particularly in sectors that contribute to sustainable development.
